Laminate Stairs in Greater Las Vegas Area

Two-story homes are common across Greater Las Vegas Area's newer tract neighborhoods, and stairs are usually the last thing homeowners think to upgrade when they replace their main-floor laminate flooring - which is exactly why mismatched carpeted stairs next to a fresh laminate floor stand out so much. Matching laminate treads finish the look and hold up far better to daily foot traffic than stair carpet ever does.

Stairs also see more abuse than almost any other surface in the house - every step is a point of impact, and a nosing that isn't properly capped will chip or peel within a year. We build every stair system with a solid or engineered tread cap, not a thin laminate plank glued straight onto plywood.

We spec a higher wear-layer laminate on stairs than we would for an average bedroom floor, since stair treads take more direct impact and scuffing than almost any flat surface in the home. Combined with a properly capped nosing, that gives you a stair system that looks new well past the point most builder-grade carpet would already be matted and stained.
